Her room is like one may expect from an adolescent's room - just as their tastes are changing from their childhood likes and dislikes to more refined things. I wonder what she got grounded for... ;)

This pencil rendering in my sketchbook is of a Sad ethereal creature just sort of grieving something gracefully. I can't quite put my finger on the kind of burdens such a creature might be facing, but I can see why explorers and adventure seekers try to help out damsels in distress - maybe they just want to see these creatures of tremendous beauty smile again.

Mermaids are awesome. Periodttt. I would probably create more in my lifetime and probably would never get tired of drawing them. This is another rendering of this fantastical creature. She has found herself a new Human doohickey and is probably going to find ways to use it in interesting ways just like our favourite red-head. Genuinely blame my mermaid obsession on our dear red-head.

The First Promise

This is an Acrylic piece. The adult's(parent's) hand or finger is holding the infant's hand for the first time.
This is a magical moment in time where the adult promises to be there for the child, swear their love and duty towards it, without even having to say a word, with a singular gesture, and massive world-moving emotion. The Adult's side actually has reds in it painted by my own hands- symbolic of pains and scars and possible trauma that the adult has gone through to reach there.The child's side has yellow playful swirls symbolising joy and newness and warmth. The white swirls and patterns, almost rose-like, represent joy and whimsy and the lilac stripe is the Bridge between the two hands.The Adult hand, however much trauma it has gone through, looks similar to that of Van Gogh's Starry Night, where you can make out a little bit of the galaxy in the hand. The golden shimmer represents the hope flowing through the person. Like the immortal golden ichor of the pagan gods, this gold alludes to the timelessness of this promise, and this bond between the parent and child.One can even look at it as a bond between God and the baby because of the "ichor", taking inspiration from Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" painting. There is a slight difference, however, and that is the interpretation that humans do have interactions with the divine universe, and that is why, the fingers do in fact, touch.

The Girl In My Story Has Always Been You

This is a serene drawing of a girl just beginning to experience spring. She is absolutely peaceful and lovely in this portrait and I felt that it would be easy for anyone to fall in love with such a lovely looking creature.
I genuinely want her sweater :)This piece of Artwork was made via markers - copic markers in a sketchbook. It was first draw in pencil, inked in with line art pens and colours in with Copic and Ohuhu Markers.
